PURPOSE

The Art Visualizer is designed to be an easy and accessible way for artists to visualize their motion, and turn the process by which they make art into a new form of art in and of itself. All that is required for data collection is a smartphone with the MATLAB Mobile app installed, which accesses accelerometer and gyroscope data (built into almost all present-day smartphones), and sends that data to be mapped and analyzed in MATLAB. What we have here is a proof of concept for an Art Visualizer phone app, which could access accelerometer and gyroscope data and run the code we’ve put together, directly from your phone!

Apply Fourier Transform to obtain average frequencies at each timestep
